Gracie

24x18-Oil-My first commissioned piece! I took the photo of Gracie and must have channeled her spirit. I did this painting with no effort...it just flowed! It's my understanding that the family hung her in the living room with their real portraits. Sold December 2003.

Morning Sun

16x20-Oil-When the sun streams through a nearby window, it almost appears to be coming through these french doors, too! This painting was done from a photograph. Remains in artist's collection.

Taking a Break

20x16-Oil-This painting is from a photograph that is such a classic. Can't you just remember the days when you rode your old bike and stopped in the grass to run around barefoot? Remains in artist's collection.

Jake & Jesse

30x24-Oil-This painting was my first attempt with dogs. These awesome labs are my and Scott's 'kids', Jake and Jesse. I took this photo on Jesse's birthday, April 2003. It only took 11 years to get the 'perfect shot' of these two, but I rattled off about six great ones that day. This is one of my favorites and hangs in our den. Remains in artist's collection.

A Place Apart

30x24-Oil-This painting was a labor of love. I did it as a surprise gift for Scott's birthday. It's actually a "collage" of five photos consisting of some of our favorite flowers and colors. Given as gift June 2003.

Claudon's Hydrangeas

24x18-Oil-The set up was perfect: the lighting was great and the flowers were exquisite. Lisa's father had given her the hydrangea plant from which these beauties were grown. We were lucky to have Lisa share them with us. Remains in artist's collection.
